2016 Ballard Classic Home Tour
Spring is here and that means the Ballard Historical Society's Classic Home Tour is right around the corner!
The Classic Home Tour will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This years slate features eight vintage houses that were built between 1900-1931. These well-maintained homes will draw you back to an era of solid craftsmanship, beauty, and style. Some on the tour exemplify the thoughtful integration of an older homes necessary updates while still embracing the scale and period in which the house was built.

About the Tour The Ballard Classic Home Tour is BHS' biggest fundraiser, which enables the organization to take part in community projects; present free informative lectures related to Ballard's History and maintain its archives.
WHEN: Sunday June 26th, 2016 Tour runs: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM All tickets are will-call only. Tickets (exchanged for tour booklets with maps to this year's classic homes) are available for pick-up from 9:30 AM day of tour.

About the Ballard Historical Society The Ballard Historical Society was formed in 1988 and is dedicated to the celebration and preservation of the unique history and culture of Ballard, WA. The society is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that provides community and educational programs and maintains an extensive photo archive.
About Ballard Ballard was a separate city until 1907, when it was annexed to Seattle. Ballard had its own city government, complete with City Hall and Mayor. Ballard Historical Society's photographic archives, with over 1000 images, document this interesting history.
Alternative Ticket Outlets Tickets will also be available for purchase by cash and check at local Ballard businesses starting June 10th, 2016: Let's turn focus to local ticket sales (cash & check only) going on sale June 10 th at the following Ballard shops: Ballard Public Green Market (6400 24th Ave. N W), Scandinavian Specialties (6719 15th Ave NW) and Secret Garden Book Shop (2214 NW Market St).
A limited number of tickets will also be available day of the tour, June 26, at the Sunset Hill Community Clubhouse. Please note all tickets must be exchanged for the tour booklet on June 26th beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Sunset Hill Community Clubhouse at 3003 N.W. 66th Street in Ballard.
Tour Guidelines It is a self-guided tour; no transportation is provided. It is not wheelchair accessible; there will be stairs and uneven sidewalks. Guests will kindly remove shoes before entering homes. No children under the age of 12; babes in arms are allowed. No food or drink. No cameras or video equipment. Only a limited number of people will be allowed in a house at a time. Due to the location of a few of the homes, parking may be required some distance away.

Please email our Classic Home Tour Coordinator, Lesli Cook (Lesli@ballardhistory.org. Volunteers do not need to have any experience and will be scheduled in shifts, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the tour!
