Night of Remembrance of 1916

Twin Cities Robert Emmetts Hurling Club and Irish Fair of Minnesota host The Tim Malloys for an evening commemorating 1916:

The Twin Cities Robert Emmets Hurling Club and the Minnesota Irish Fair invite you to join in the year-long commemoration of the centennial of the 1916 Easter Rising, for an exhibition hurling match between the earliest members of the hurling club (a euphemism for its eldest athletes) versus the new guard carrying the club forward on supple young shoulders, on Saturday, April 23rd from 1:00pm-5:00pm at McMurray Field in St. Paul, where it all began on sun-baked mud and mangy grass, now replaced with artificial turf.

That evening join us from 7:30 to 11:00 for a celebration at the Celtic Junction, 836 Prior Ave N, St Paul, MN 55104 featuring the music of The Tim Malloys, beer to toast the victors, food and general craic.

Tickets are $15 in advance and will be $20 at the door.
