Lecture with Ornithologist, Dr. J Alan Clark at the Harvey School

A leading expert on bird migration and ecology, Dr. J. Alan Clark is an Associate Professor of Biology at Fordham University, coordinator of the schools conservation biology program, and an active member of Bedford Audubon's Board of Directors. His current research investigates birds migrating patterns in relation to the urban landscape. Clark has participated in the joining of art and ornithology beforein 2012, he collaborated with international artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer to modify an outdoor light installation in Philadelphia, making it less hazardous to migrating birds. His lecture for the KMA and Bedford Audubon will examine the relationship between avian survival and human creation, one of the major, and most urgent, themes in The Nest, an exhibition of art in nature.
