Join George Leahy for a walk through one of the Rockland County's most historic towns. Leahy's roots in Haverstraw go back to the mid-1800s, when his Irish ancestors settled here. Now retired, Leahy taught history at Nanuet High School for thirty-five years and for the past ten years was an adjunct professor of history at St. Thomas Aquinas College.
After the walk, guests will enjoy a delicious three-course luncheon at Union Restaurant.
The year 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of the Town of Haverstraw. We are delighted to present this guided "Walk through History" in conjunction with the Town of Haverstraw's Quadricentennial Celebration.
This "Walk through History" will be a lengthy walking tour, with elevation changes (hills). Please consider this as you make your reservations.
