Foraging Your Native Garden with Mia Wasilevich
Learn how to forage gourmet cooking ingredients in your own garden. We will discuss the culinary uses for commonly found garden variety natives plants. Manzanita berries, sage leaves, buckwheat flowers and other native flora are not just beautiful but can be delicious as well. In this workshop we will tour the Ranch Garden site and discover the wonders of your own backyard pantry. The workshop will end with a gourmet tasting of culinary delights created by Mia Wasilevich of Transitional Gastronomy.
Limit: 15 participants. Early registration is strongly recommended due to limited space. It is The Ranch's policy to keep classes an intimate size to make your 'hands-on' learning experience more enjoyable.
This class is part of the Huntington Ranch Garden's "Ecosystem-Based Gardening Workshop Gardening Club".
Make sure you include a current email address when registering. A reminder email with detailed directions will be sent out to participants a week before the event date.
