Touche' Gypsy Jazz at Bloedel Reserve
The beautiful grounds of Bloedel Reserve, a world-renowned public garden on Bainbridge Island, will be the setting for a performance by the new band, Touche', the new creation of Christophe Chagnard, music director of the Northwest Sinfonietta and the Lake Union Civic Orchestra, and director of orchestras at the University of Puget Sound. Featuring gypsy jazz made famous by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, Touche' also plays classics and straight-ahead jazz. Famed as a dynamic and sensitive conductor, Christophe plays guitar in this sextet, along with guitarists Neil Andersson (founding member of Pearl Django) and Ron Peters, and Jo Nardolillo, violin, Todd Larson, bass, and Chaz Hastings, percussion.
