Introducing the work of CAO PERROT a landscape artist studio founded by Andy Cao and Xavier Perrot. The lecture will highlight the studios recent work, driven by a desire to make places for dreaming. The presentation will focus on creative solutions that marry art with architecture, creating dreamlike environments that invigorate the mind.
Attendees will learn how intuition and emotion are key elements to design.
Attendees will learn how location plays a key factor in creating serendipitous environments.
Attendees will learn about the utilization of common place materials in significant projects.
Attendees will learn how weaving personal narratives into dreamlike environments that defy specific meaning can invite the viewer into a contemplative world of color and sensuality

Cost: $10 General Admission Presenter: Andy Cao Landscape artist Andy Cao is based in Los Angeles. Andy was a recipient of the Rome Prize Fellowship in Landscape Architecture at the American Academy in Rome (2002), and the Loeb Fellowship at Harvard University Graduate School of Design (2011). Andy attended University of Houston College of Architecture and received a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (1994). He has taught landscape design at USC School of Architecture, and Cal Poly Pomona.
Andy has been working with French landscape artist Xavier Perrot since 2001. CAO PERROTs work has been widely published, and exhibited at international garden festivals and museums, including 2006 Design Life Now: National Design Triennial at Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, New York. The Architectural League of New York named Andy Cao and Xavier Perrot as "Emerging Voices 2013".
