The Salty Suites in concert at Sculpterra
New monthly concert series at Sculpterra! It's called Wine-Down Wednesdays, every 2nd Wednesday 6-8pm, through September. May 11 features the L.A. based acoustic trio, The Salty Suites, with special guest Phil Lee opening the show at 6pm. Tickets are $15 ($10 wine club members) available now at Sculpterra Winery, 5015 Linne Road, Paso Robles, 805-226-8881. Food and wine will be available for purchase.
Fans of Nickel Creek will find a lot to love in The Salty Suites. Scott Gates on mandolin, Chelsea Williams on guitar, and bassist Chuck Hailes trade hot licks, three-part harmonies on original songs and fresh arrangements of traditonal folk and bluegrass numbers. Phil Lee is a favorite on our showcases. He's nicknamed "The Mighty King of Love", tours internationally, just released his fifth album, "Some Gotta Lose". After two decades in Nashville, Phil moved to the Central Coast three years ago, and has played many of our events.
