OZERE
A young Canadian violinist on the way to a career in the classical world, Jessica Deutsch took a detour into the world of folk music. At 20 years of age, she began playing music from all over the world - Roma, Celtic, Klezmer, jazz and more. She brought all these styles together when she started composing for Ozere. Formed in 2012, Ozere combines the aesthetic of chamber music with the freedom and improvisation of folk music. You'll hear high-energy fiddling, rootsy grooves, haunting vocal harmonies, al interspersed with the beauty of classical writing. "Many bands cross these kinds of stylistic and cultural boundaries, yet not always with Ozeres elegance and finesse" (-The Whole Note). Come see them on their second U.S. tour, to celebrate the release of their album "Finding Anyplace". With violin, mandolin, cello, bass and vocals, they will blow you away.
