LAI June Luncheon
After a year-long search, the University of California announced in January its selection of the Richmond Field Station as its preferred site for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Second Campus project. The lab plans to build out up to 2 million square feet of office, lab and research and development space and is expected to create over a thousand new jobs. Robert Hatheway, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Real Estate Services, UC Berkeley, who has a joint appointment with the Lab to work on the second campus, will tell us what LBNL and the Berkeley campus have in store for the site and what it could mean for the east bay and the region.
