Paul and Corrie Bratter are newlyweds who are moving into their first apartment a fifth floor walk-up in Manhattan. Paul is an attorney who is preparing to try his first case the following morning. But, a surprise visit from Cories mother interrupts his plans, as his young bride decides to play matchmaker between her widowed mother and a free-spirited neighbor.
