Mairi Orr
Mairi is a Scottish singer/songwriter celebrating the vibrant connection between Scots and American roots music. Her debut album 'Jenny Does Burn' has her hotly tipped as 'one to watch' (Songlines) and 'bursting with ideas and talent' (Spiral Earth). Growing up in the Scottish Highlands and moving around for much of her adult life, Mairi's roots remained an anchor and her own cultural heritage plays a major role in her songwriting with music arrangements influenced by a love of bluegrass and American Old-time.
