FIRST DATE - A Theater Festival at OutCast
A theater flirtation has begun!
OutCast Productions is excited to announce a new artistic tryst with Seattle heart throb, The Pocket Theater. Perhaps this rendezvous will bring a diversity of new performers to the Black Box stage. We'll indulge in delights ranging from improvised JJ Abrams, to sexy seagulls performing Chekhov, to LGBTQ standup, and much much more! Whidbey Island needs some spice in its performance romance (perf-romance?), and with the Pocket we hope to offer you new content in sumptuous spades.
But before we commit to a long term relationship we'll speed date! 6 different shows in 3 days! Whidbey will find it's match. The weekend of April 15, 16 & 17 will be full of performances (two completely different shows each day). You may purchase tickets for each performance separately or buy a Festival Pass for a discounted price and see all six. Tickets are $10 or a Festival Pass will be $50.
Performances will be:
Friday, 4/15 @ 7:30pm - 50% Less Bear (Improv)
Friday, 4/15 @ 9:00pm - Illuminati the Musical and Dead &
Breakfast (Two 1-act comedy plays)
Saturday, 4/16 @ 7:30pm - Schlong Song (Stand-up
Storytelling)
Saturday, 4/16 @ 9:00pm - Wisecrack (Stand-Up)
Sunday, 4/17 @ 4:00pm - Dayjob (Short Form Comedy)
Sunday, 4/17 @ 5:30pm. - Bill Bernat (Dark Comedy
Storytelling)
Doors open 15 minutes prior to each performance.
Come weigh in on whether Outcast + Pocket should be carved into a tree with a heart around it. With your blessing this match will last a long time!
Info about Pocket Theater - The Pocket Theater has produced more than 400 performances in 2015 alone. In addition they offer classes workshops for performers; grants for new shows; and will be opening a second space in the SODO district in June.
