Don't Drink the Water
Legendary screenwriter Woody Allen takes us back to the cold war with this tale of espionage, incompetence, and communism in one of his great, goofy, early works. The story takes place in the 1960s behind the Iron Curtain, where a New Jersey caterer and his family are mistaken for spies, and of course, hilarity ensues! They rush to the U.S. Embassy, but it's not much help, as the ambassador's incompetent son is in charge. Nevertheless, they frantically plot their escape, and the ambassador's son and the caterer's daughter even have time to fall in love. Quick fire humor and hilarious situations are sure to guarantee a great time for all. Who knew the Cold War was this funny?
