Randy Armstrong in Concert
Randy, world music pioneer and co-founder of Do'a World Music Ensemble and Unu Mondo, performs original music from a collection of over 300 instruments from around the globe. He has toured throughout the United States, Canada, the Balkans, India, South and West Africa. As a composer and recording artist, he has appeared on over 35 internationally released albums and film scores. Randy has released a solo CD: No Regrets and a double CD soundtrack for the 4 part PBS primetime series, Dinner on the Diner filmed in Spain, South Africa,Scotland and Southeast Asia. In 2012 Randy is anticipating the release of a new World Music CD project entitled Beyond Borders. Randy currently teaches sitar, tabla and West African drumming at Phillips Exeter Academy, and for the Graduate Program at Plymouth State University. He serves as a councilor for the NH State Council on the Arts, and is the recipient of numerous grants from the National Endowment on the Arts and the New England Foundation for the Arts. Randy has performed with Voices from the Heart since 2003, and accompanied them and performed concerts in Slovenia and Croatia in 2007. He will tour with Voices in Cuba in the summer of 2012.
