Snap on 2&4 w/ Jeff Coffin & Company
Join us on Friday, March 25 at 8pm as we welcome back to the Jazz Cave the quartet of Jeff Coffin, Roger Spencer, Bill Altvater, and Dale Armstrong - a date we're billing as "Jeff Coffin and Company!"
In 2011, NJW Director and master bassist Roger Spencer pulled together this group for an evening called "Jazz Standards Deranged Before Your Very Eyes." With multi grammy-award winning saxophonist and Nashville icon Jeff Coffin out front - backed by Spencer, pianist Bill Altvater, and drummer Dale Armstrong - the group bent, twisted, arranged, and deranged otherwise standard tunes for no-holds-barred night of creative improvisation. Five years later, they're at it again for a new Snap on 2&4 event, and this concert promises to be an exciting night of edgy and high energy music!
There will be two sets beginning at 8:00 pm in the Jazz Cave at the Workshop. Admission is $25 / $15 high school and college students with ID. Tickets will go on sale Monday March 14 at 10AM and will be available online on this page, by phone 24/7 at Brown Paper Tickets (800-838-3006) or during business hours at the NJW office (242-5299). A small convenience charge is added to online or 800-number purchases.
Policies: The Jazz Cave is a BYOB establishment, with no alcohol or food service. You are free to bring alcoholic beverages and snacks. We sell soft drinks and bottled water. The Jazz Cave is a listening room, and we ask patrons to keep conversation to a minimum and silence cell phones. Audio and video recording is prohibited.
