Misner & Smith's combination of vocal blend, lyrical potency, and diverse songwriting make this duo one of the most unique and loved Bay Area bands on the scene today. With two singers who could easily lead a band on their own, the duo produces a sound that is one voice. This isn't just harmony singing. This is vocal art. The award-winning original songs range from folk to rock to Americana to bluegrass, but essentially are something all their own, defined by the stories that each song tells. Misner & Smith create an extraordinarily full sound for only two people, and tour extensively both in the U.S. and overseas. As both musicians and actors, they are seasoned live performers, having recently celebrated over a decade of making music together; a decade that has produced four albums, including their most recent release, Seven Hour Storm. Their tight vocal harmonies and energetic live show will linger with you for a long time to come.
For this special show they will be joined by their regular trio partner and multi-instrumentalist, Josh Yenne, on pedal steel, electric and acoustic guitar. He has toured with Mazzy Star, The Easy Leaves, and local favorites The Mother Hips and Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers.

Mixing poignant, reflective pieces with intense, powerful tunes and occasional topical numbers, Jeffrey Halford plays visceral guitar with slinky abandon and writes rootsy swampy blues songs that sting and soothe equally. With eight albums to his credit, he has written a wide mix of songs whose subjects range from North Beach and the San Joaquin Valley to such historic characters as Ambrose Bierce, Crazy Horse and the African American baseball legend Satchel Paige.
