World Storytelling Day - Folktales From Around the World
World Storytelling Day is a global celebration of the ancient art of storytelling. It is celebrated every year on the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere and the autumn equinox in the southern this year World Storytelling Day is on March 20th.
World Storytelling Day is like Halloween or Christmas for a storyteller. says yarn spinner Paul Woodland, Its a whole day devoted to celebrating the ancient art of storytelling and nobody is embracing this day with more gusto than we are.
Humboldt County will celebrate World Storytelling Day at The Old Steeple in Ferndale on Sunday, March 20th with venerable storytellers Mary Lawrence, Paul Woodland and Carpathian sharing folktales from around the world with an emphasis on strong women. Showtime is 2 o'clock.
