STORYTELLERS
Tara Clancy Tara, a storyteller on stage and in print, is the author of The Clancys of Queens (Crown), a memoir, coming out this October and in negotiations to be a TV series. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Paris Review Daily and The Rumpus. She is also a host and storyteller for The Moth Mainstage, and her stories have been featured on The Moth Radio Hour, as well as NPR's Snap Judgment, and Risk! Originally from Queens, Tara now lives in Manhattan with her wife and two sons.
Leslie Goshko Leslie has many amazing talents. Her cabaret show "An Old-Fashioned Piano Party with Leslie Goshko" was heralded as a Time Out New York "Critic's Pick." Shes a Manhattan Monologue Slam Champion and her stories and comedy writing have been featured on NPR, The Huffington Post, Sirius XM, and WNYC. She is also the host and creator of the monthly storytelling series, Sideshow Goshko, a Time Out New York and New York Times "Critics' Pick." She even performed with the cast of Hairspray on Broadway.
Drew Prochaska Drew is a two-time Moth Story SLAM winner whose hilarious and soulful stories have been featured on the RISK! and Stories in Session podcasts. In addition to being an Out by 10 regular, he has performed at other popular storytelling shows throughout the city, including The Montclair Film Festival, "How I Learned", "Word", "Tale" and other. His first book of personal essays, Where We Were When We Were Werewolves will be published later this year. He lives in Brooklyn with his dog, Lula.
MUSICIANS Amy Soucy with Stephen Murphy:
Singer/songwriter Amy Soucy has worked with powerhouse singer-songwriters Penny Nichols and Sloan Wainwright, Japanese gypsy-folk band Kagero, Broadway leading man Tom Wopat, and Comedy Central artist Stephen Lynch. Her voice has been described as powerful, comforting, and angelic and her musical style spans jazz, opera and musicals. Her songs touch on dreams, longing, forgiveness and healing. After 20 years in NYC, she recently moved to folk-music Mecca, Beacon, NY.
Stephen Murphy, playing guitar and singing harmonies with Amy, is Sloan Wainwright's long-time collaborator, co-writer, and guitarist. He helped produce Amy's first album, This River, which ranked among the top Folk albums of 2015 on the International Folk DJ Chart and Roots Music Report (the #1 independent music chart in the world). Steve lives in the Bronx.
