Cooking for Compassion and Health - Exploring Tofu
The hands-on class will expand your repertoire and is for anyone curious in plant-based cooking. Attendees will learn about cooking with tofu, an affordable, adaptable and nutritious soy-based staple of Asian cuisine, which is also popular in Western cooking.
Class enrollment is limited to 12 people.
Class will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in Chico in a spacious home kitchen in a beautiful and peaceful environment. Food will be served during the event, and no one will go away hungry. The class fee covers the cost of the foods prepared that day and all handouts.
The class is offered through Dharma Voices for Animals and Sky Creek Dharma Center and part of the monthly Cooking for Compassion and Health series. The next class will be on September 17, 2016 on ways to ferment vegetables.
