Are you interested in becoming a Habitat Steward in your community who creates areas for wildlife? The Habitat Stewards Training empowers volunteers to help individuals in Thurston County create, preserve, and restore wildlife habitat.
A 30-hour volunteer commitment within a year after the training is required. We will provide coffee, tea, and snacks at each training session you are welcome to bring a brown bag dinner.
Presentations from NWF staff and local environmental educators during the training will include, but are not limited to the following topics: Rain Gardens Pollinators Native Plant Gardening Sustainable Gardening Practices Climate Change NW Ecology Noxious Weeds Gardening for Wildlife Habitat Restoration
