Jambalaya 'n' Jazz
Enjoy the taste of Jambalaya and the music of Jazz with Viper 6! Join us at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Colony Inn and Conference Center, on April 29th, 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Viper Six has been laying down Hot and Cool swing-jazz on the Central Coast of California since the turn of the 21st Century. The band gained acclaim for their shows at the world-famous Madonna Inn, Mother's Tavern, the Live Oak Music Festival, the Pismo Beach "Jubilee by the Sea" Jazz Festival and SLO's Concerts in the Plaza where they have performed several times. Featuring a delicious potpourri of familiar and obscure jazz and swing classics from the 1930's and '40's mixed with their own sharp, witty originals, the Viper Six appeals to music lovers and swing dance enthusiasts of all ages, teens to octogenarians! From Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Billie Holliday to Cab Calloway and Louis Jordan the Viper Six mixes a cocktail that's one part Class, one part Madness and one hundred percent Great Music! The incomparable Miz Emy Bruzzo struts her stuff in sharp attire, handling the Lioness' share of the vocals and charming the audience with her black velvet voice and slinky demeanor while the always dapper Catalina Eddy (AKA Ted Waterhouse) backs her with solid rhythm chops and jumping leads on Arch-Top Guitar, adding a vocal or two of his own. Boppin' Bob Osborn and Roarin' Robert Alberts are center stage, wailin' on Trumpet, Saxes and Clarinet, knockin' 'em dead with the hottest riffs and solos while the dynamic duo of Travis Harms and Darrell Voss lay down the solid swing bass and drums that keep the dancers hopping. It all adds up to a night of music you won't want to miss. One part cool, one part madness, one hundred percent great music.
