The Portable Folk Festival
Founded in 1974 by Sounding Board founder Bill Domler, "The Portables", are still playing and entertaining audiences with their diversity of song and instruments. They are a 15 member group and some have been with the group since the beginnings. (You might just find some of them volunteering at the Sounding Board also.) SOme of their instruments include guitars, banjos, up right bass, fiddles, ukelele, autoharp, accordian, bohdran, whistles, hammered dulcimers and sometimes a bowed psaltery and an Appalachian dulcimer. Lots of sing-a-longs so be sure to bring your voice with you!
THIS CONCERT IS A BENEFIT FOR WWUH FOLK RADIO. ALL PROCEEDS FROM DOOR SALES AND REFRESHMENTS WILL BE DONATED TO THE RADIO STATION. SO, GET YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND HIGH-TAIL IT DOWN TO THE SOUNDING BOARD ON MAY 7, 2016 TO HELP OUT A VERY WORTHY CAUSE!!!!!!
