Youth Unleashing Power
Are you an HIV or HepC positive youth* living in Canada? Are you interested in connecting with other positive youth, learning about peer organizing, and sharing your knowledge?
Then join us in beautiful Victoria, B.C, for Canadas first national symposium that's been developed by and for positive youth!
This 3-day conference will feature youth presenters from across the country who are doing radical work for positive folks. There will be opportunities to access self-care as well as connect with other youth in a casual environment. The project is peer-led, meaning it has been developed by and for positive youth through a collaborative process.
If you are interested in presenting the work youve been doing or sharing initiatives youre involved in in your home community, submit an application to present! Calls for abstracts are available on our website: youthunleashingpower.ca
If youre a positive youth and youd like to attend the conference, please submit a registration form. Scholarship and travel bursary information will be released soon. We aim to make this conference as low-barrier as possible.
This project has been made possible through generous funding from the STOP/HIV AIDS Program of Island Health and is a project of the Vancouver Island Persons Living with HIV/AIDS Society.
* this conference is open to anyone aged 16-30 living with either HIV, HepC, or both. Please contact us at POZyouth@vpwas.org if you have any questions!
