Aryk Crowder (http://www.arykcrowder.com/) is a Chicago R&B/Soul artist, and a masterful guitarist. Through a slew of engaging, independent releases (including 2010's Ready, Set... EP and 2012's Over Getting Over), Aryk has once again topped himself with the 2x4 series. Accompanied by lush strings, pristine finger snaps and subtle, heartbeat-like percussion, Aryk is at home on Volume I, keeping things at a mild boil musically, while letting his romantic side genuinely runneth over. Though comparisons to Jeff Buckley, John Mayer or Ben Harper aren't unwarranted, Aryk sports more love for true soul music than any of the above, as evidenced through the rustic tones of acoustic plucks. Aryk's connections to his fans are far from done when the final note is sung or the last instrument cable is wrapped up for the night. He's bringing human emotion (and handmade keepsakes in which to collect them) back in an age of a point-and-click music industry.
The Way Down Wanderers (http://www.thewaydownwanderers.com/) are equal parts fast-paced and soulful, a 5-piece modern-folk Americana act that draw listeners in with energy, originality and soulful generosity. Playing, performing and writing together for just over a year, the Wanderers have built an enthusiastic and fast-growing following across the country, earning Deli Magazine's Readers Choice title of Chicago's Best Emerging Artist, 2014. Youthful and professionally trained, these young men captivate audiences with soaring instrumentals, foot stomping sing-alongs and a lively stage show and have created a buzz for themselves with their unplugged, off-stage encores and propensity for performing self-titled, restSTOMPS - free acoustic sets at rest & truck stops along their tour routes. The band's debut EP, "Path to Follow and their brand new live EP, Wellspring are available wherever music is sold. The band's first full-length album is due to release in the Spring or Summer of 2016.
