Join us in welcoming Rebecca Prince-Ruiz, founder of Plastic-Free July. Bring your burning questions about how this zero waste movement, which started in Western Australia in 2011, has grown into a world-wide phenomenon. The Ecology Center has been celebrating Plastic-Free July since 2014, in collaboration with activist and author Beth Terry, Berkeleys Shorebird Park Nature Center, and other allies dedicated to pollution prevention.
Come learn about how the Plastic-Free July challenge has grown to include over 36,000 people from 85 countries, and how we can use these strategies to grow the zero waste movement!
Let us know you will be there, or just drop in!
Wheelchair accessible. Please refrain from wearing scented products to public programs.
