Saturday Family Concert: Correo Aereo
This highly acclaimed duo performs traditional and original music of Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina, and Peru. Playing an array of string and percussive instruments, Abel Rocha and Madeleine Sosin are joined for a family-friendly concert by standup bass player Evan Flory Barnes and vocalist Aiko Shimada. They perform highlights from past shows, including excerpts of To Sing a River, which celebrates the lives of the Shipibo Konibo tribe of the Amazon rainforest through music and documentary film footage. This concert is appropriate for children five and older. Presented with the Seattle International Childrens Festival and sponsored by KEXP 90.3FM and ParentMap. This concert is appropriate for children 7 and older.
