Each of us inevitable Each of us limitless each of us with his or her right on the earth Each of us here as divinely as any is here. Walt Whitman
Each of Us is an eclectic and wide-ranging concert about authenticity and expression: matters of personal happiness, and, often, matters of life and death. Global and national current events are full of tragic ways in which human beings are not able to handle difference and otherness. The concert is a celebration of individual journeys to personal authenticity, as well as an attempt to speak to the moment. It is a reflection on changing times, on the challenges faced by individuals in our society, and on the importance of being allies to each other. The singers of Resonance have been thinking and talking this year about the ways in which we self-censor, as well as ways in which we ask others to do the same, either implicitly or explicitly. Resonance is a womens chorus which is deeply informed by its roots in the glbtq choral community. The recently-formed Colorado Trans Community Choir will join Resonance for several selections.
