Date: Friday, April 15th Time: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Ages: Adults and teens
I want to invite you to explore the medium of watercolor in a relaxed and creative environment. This workshop is focused on your creative energies and dispelling the myth that watercolor is difficult and unforgiving. I believe that when you have the right encouragement and understanding of the basic fundamentals, watercolor is a wonderfully creative medium that is unmatched in ease of use, cost of materials, and the enjoyment of artistic expression.
Beginning students will follow along in a group demonstration. More experienced artists may work from their own subjects with individual guidance. A paradigm will be established that you can adhere to for the successful completion of any painting project.
We will meet from 8:30 am until noon, take an hour for lunch, and resume from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
Prices: $75 for YAC members, and $90 for non-members.
Instructor: Tim Hacker is a signature member of the Mississippi Watercolor Society and the Tennessee Watercolor society. He is also a Platinum member of the Memphis Germantown Art League, having served as president in 2005-6 and 2010-2012. His work has received many awards in national competitions. You may see some of Tims art work on his website!
