Positional Play Workshop
This is a four week workshop, running from August 14th-September 4th. Ensembles require performers to fulfill different tasks in order for shows to succeed, and different types of performers manifest different tendencies in pursuit of those goals. The focus of the class will be to understand general types to which performers gravitate, exploring the point-of-view of each of those types, and working to understand how to facilitate show success through that lens of cooperation. Participants will have the opportunity to play within natural tendencies in pursuit of refinement of personal style and to stretch into unfamiliar roles to gain a better understanding of alternative approaches to performance.
