More Masonic Mozart
Orchestra Miami continues its "Discover Miami Through Music" series with More Masonic Mozart. This all-Mozart program includes works which Mozart composed for Masonic ritual or was inspired by Masonic symbols and ideals. The acoustically perfect Scottish Rite auditorium is the perfect place to experience this great music in the atmosphere which Mozart intended.
The 35 professional musicians of Orchestra Miami will be led by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi, with special guest soloist Paul Posnak on the piano. The program includes the beautiful and rarely heard "Trauermusik", the dramatic Piano Concerto in D Minor, K. 466 and Symphony N. 39 in E Flat Major, K. 543.
The Scottish Rite Masonic Temple is one of Miami's most iconic and interesting buildings. Built in 1927, it is a historically protested landmark. A little known feature of this spectacular building is its 900 seat, acoustically perfect auditorium. Prior to the concert, a lecture will be presented about the history and features of this unique building. Don't miss this opportunity to experience this concert in one of the most beautiful venues in all of South Florida!
