Teaching & Learning Workshop for Educators: Scratching the Surface
Teaching & Learning Workshops are designed to help K-12 educators and program coordinators engage deeply with contemporary art, and develop strategies for using museums and the visual arts as a teaching tool. In this session, teachers will enjoy a gallery discussion with artist Cullen Washington, Jr. in the exhibition, Surface Area: Selections from the Permanent Collection, and participate in a hands-on workshop inspired by his artistic practice.
Dont miss this great opportunity to engage with other educators, gather resources for your classroom, and learning about upcoming programs and opportunities for your school!
Teaching and Learning Workshops for K-12 Educators is a free program. RSVP is required to attend. Dinner will be provided.
Educator Programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency; the Joseph and Joan Cullman Foundation for the Arts; the Dedalus Foundation, Inc.; the May & Samuel Rudin Family Foundation, Inc.; and Wells Fargo.
