Shine Presents: An evening with Joy Ike, Joel Ansett and Shelly Rollison
Dubbed as the the sonic lovechild of John Legend and The Tallest Man on Earth by The Huffington Post, Joel Ansetts music is pure, heartfelt, sobering and hopeful. His December release of The Nature of Us debuted at #9 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts in the company of Ed Sheeran, Josh Ritter, and Passenger. Hailing from Spokane, WA, temporarily residing on the East Coast, and now based in Denver, CO, Ansetts music has traveled across much of the country making him an immediate crowd-pleaser.

Philadelphia-based touring artist Joy Ikes music, voice, and writing have drawn comparisons to female musicians such as Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple and Nina Simone. She has had the opportunity to share the stage and open for Jeffrey Gaines, Serena Ryder, Tyrone Wells, Cody Chestnutt, and Allen Toussaint, to name a few. Denver-based independent artist Shelly Rollisons music and voice have drawn comparisons to artists such as Norah Jones, Colbie Caillat, and Billie Holiday. While her guitar stylings lend to an acoustic/folk feel, her voice draws on soul and jazz roots as well, a genre Rollison admits she more naturally gravitates to when it comes to vocals.
