Dan Crary & Thunderation
The Marshall Grange is pleased to present Dan Crary and Thunderation in a special benefit concert for local community radio station KFOK on Friday June 1 beginning at 7 P.M. Thunderation is the latest musical creation of legendary guitar flatpicker Dan Crary who has teamed up with Texas singer/songwriter/storyteller Steve Spurgin, and Pacific Northwest fiddle/mandolin player Martin Stevens who together will take you to the whistling winds in the pines; the rambling boys and tragic girls; the joys and laughter from old times; the ghosts of Jimmie Rogers and The Carter Family and Bill and Lester and Earl and Woody; some fast and furious instrumental tunes and yes, even a little touch of glory-to-god. You can learn more about them and sample some of their tunes at www.dancrary.com. In the spirit of community, the Marshall Grange is donating the proceeds of this concert to KFOK. You can help out and have fun as Thunderation makes you "shiver when the cold wind blows," which is okay because pretty soon, "sun's gonna' shine in my back door someday."
