Karinda Dobbins is a Detroit native, who was born into a politically active family of skilled storytellers and sharp wits. Dobbins moved from Michigan to Californias Bay Area and responding to repeated dares from a girlfriend who challenged her to try making the crowd laugh at an open mic, Karinda finally took the stage at Woodys Café, and killed. To date, she has appeared at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival; featured at Bay Area comedy clubs the Punch Line and Cobbs; opened for Greg Proops, Trevor Noah and toured with W. Kamau Bell. Irene Tu is a stand-up comic, writer, and performer, newly transplanted to the bay from Chicago. She has been in SF Sketchfest, Limestone Comedy Festival, Cape Fear Comedy Festival, She-Devil Comedy Festival, Chicago Womens Funny Festival, and she co-produces Laugh Function every Saturday 8:30pm at Pappys in Berkeley. http://irenetu.com/
Zahra Noorbakhsh is a feminist, satirist, Iranian-American comedian. The New Yorker Magazine dubbed her one-woman show All Atheists Are Muslim a highlight of the Intl New York City Fringe Theater Festival. Zahra is also a member of the SF Writers Grotto, where she teaches courses in comedy. She is a co-creator of the popular Good Muslim Bad Muslim podcast that has been featured on NPR. http://www.zahracomedy.com
Nato Green was summed up more or less accurately by The East Bay Express as, erudite and acerbic, a San Francisco-raised father, union organizer, gastronome, bibliophile, and political sparkplug. His first comedy album, The Nato Green Party, was released by Rooftop Comedy. Nato has been named San Francisco's Best Comedian by the SF Weekly, Huffington Post, and CBS. Nato is the creator of Iron Comic, the Iron Chef-spoofing comedy game show he co-hosts with Moshe Kasher. Nato has a regular column in the San Francisco Examiner, and his humor commentaries have appeared in VICE, Truthdig, Huffington Post, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, The Rumpus, and The Bold Italic. He also hosts FSFSF, a short spotlight on Bay Area comedy that airs every weekday during NPR's All Things Considered on 91.7FM KALW. He had a podcast The Nato Sessions, produced by 3200 Stories. Nato wrote for Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell on FX and toured nationally with W. In 2015, Surkis produced a variety show called What Ever Werx at Stage Werx, where he is also a regularly featured performer in the Solo Sundays series. He produced W. Kamau Bell's sold out residency at The Marsh. He is currently a producer for Kamau Right Now! on KALW.
