"I've never seen anything like this before!" -Roy Clark, Country Music Hall of Fame.
Kyle Dillingham & Horseshoe Road have been selected to participate in the 2018-2019 American Music Abroad season, organized by The U.S. Department of States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and The Association of American Voices, with a tour through Kosovo and Kuwait this spring. They were chosen as one of fifteen ensembles, standing out in an applicant pool of nearly 300 bands.
We are so excited that we've been accepted to participate in the upcoming AMA tour season! Having already performed in 37 countries, we look forward to this opportunity to take country music, once again, to new frontiers, Dillingham said. Whether at home or abroad, we have an important opportunity everyday to change peoples lives with our music.
"Ken Burns and I travel all over the United States. After hearing your performance, we turned to each other and agreed that we had witnessed something amazing." -Paula Kerger, President of PBS.

With an eclectic musical style ranging from Blues to Bluegrass, Gypsy Jazz to Western Swing, Country, Rock and Gospel, Horseshoe Road blends them into an earthy genre of music they call Heartland Americana. Full of surprises, the group's passion for music can be seen in their performance.
"Last year, we had the chance to perform for Charley Pride in his dressing room at the Grand Ole Opry and hang out with Blake Shelton and others backstage," said Dillingham. "We were also invited by legendary fashion designer, Manuel Cuevas, to perform at his signature boutique, Manuel American Designs, after our CMA Fest performance. He has been attributed as being the man who put Johnny Cash in black and outfitting such legends as Elvis, Dylan and the Rolling Stones and we'll be wearing original Manuel outfits at the concert, as well."

"From Bob Wills to our original Americana-flavored new songs, get ready for a high energy, uplifting musical experience," said Kyle. "We've performed for kings and princesses, and were ready to bring that same passion to all our loyal fans in the most beautiful venue in the state."
In 2017, Kyle Dillingham & Horseshoe Road completed a two-week Silk Road and the Fiddle tour in China representing Oklahoma with a musical celebration of sister-state/city relations and cultural performances.
"We were the first ever Americana/Country band to perform in the region of Gansu Province where we toured," Kyle said. "We were also one of only four to be granted a meeting with Gansu Governor, Tang Renjian, representing our state with a letter from Governor Mary Fallin. Governor Tang gave us a hearty two thumbs up for his first ever personal serenade we gave him during our official meeting!"
2017 marked the 32nd anniversary of the sister-statehood between Gansu Province and Oklahoma. Dunhuang, one of the cities in the province they toured, once served as the meeting point of the East and the West along the ancient Silk Road. They were proud to represent the United States at the International Expo that was also attended by around 40 ministry-level lead delegations.
Qingyang was another city on their tour where they represented the sister-city of Edmond. "We presented their mayor with gifts from Edmond Mayor Charles Lamb and were greeted like we were the Beatles - it was crazy," Kyle said. "They loved us so much that they've invited us back for a full concert tour and we've even been asked to write a Qingyang folk song in Chinese and English."
In 2014, Kyle and Horseshoe Road completed a 16-day tour through Liberia, which included a performance for the president of Liberia. 2015 began with a fiery performance at the Oklahoma Governor's Inaugural Ball.
Opening for the Oak Ridge Boys was one of the many highlights of 2012, as well as the Charlie Daniels Band in 2013. Kyle and Horseshoe Road were selected by the U.S. State Department for a month-long world tour through Taiwan, South Korea, Burma and Russia as part of their American Music Abroad program. Out of 300 bands nationwide, Horseshoe Road was one of 12 chosen for the 2012-2013 season.
In 2008, Horseshoe Road completed a U.S. Embassy sponsored tour of Thailand, which commemorated the 175th anniversary of relations between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Thailand. It was the first time an American band had ever performed in four of the five cities they toured.
They celebrated Oklahoma's centennial internationally through their performances with a tour of Japan and Thailand. They also filmed a documentary of this tour as an official OK Centennial Project, and performed 32 shows at the 2000 Oklahoma State Fair Centennial Expo at the Oklahoman Stage.
While still in high school, Kyle was featured with Roy Clark and twice on Nashville's Grand Ole Opry. He later toured with western-swing legend, Hank Thompson. He has performed for the King of Malaysia, the Princess of Thailand, Singapore's National Day Celebration, and his performance at the Beijing Central Conservatory was broadcast on Chinese national television. A frequent visitor to Washington D.C, he has performed for the Japanese, Thai and Saudi Arabian Ambassadors, to name a few. Kyle has taken his music to over 30 countries earning him the title of "Oklahoma's Musical Ambassador."
Kyle is also an Oklahoma Creativity Ambassador and was a 2009 recipient of the Oklahoma Governor's Art's Award. He works as the Musical Ambassador in Residence at the University of Central Oklahoma, using his "musical diplomacy" to help develop and strengthen new overseas partnerships for the university.
