Sensuously Transmitted Drama - Love Poured Neat
Continuing Drinking & Writing Theaters mission of exploring the connection between creativity and alcohol, Sensuously Transmitted Drama, tackles the subject of love through the lens of libation and prose. Opening Saturday April 2nd at the Drinking & Writing Theater at Haymarket Pub and Brewery, 737 W. Randolph, Sensuously Transmitted Drama is the 10th production from the Drinking & Writing Theater. Drinking & Writing Theater co-founder and Neofuturist alumni Steve Mosqueda will be joined by newcomer Grace Murphy, co director of D&Ws on going show VS - A Battle of Art. Love is dissected, transformed, explained, manipulated and pulled apart through personal monologues, music, movement, historical facts and the writings of some of literatures utmost experts on the subject including Charles Bukowski, William Shakespeare, Dorothy Parker and Jacqueline Susann. This 75 minute production will also feature the passionate and heart breaking love affair between Simone de Beauvoir and Chicagos most underrated and forgotten writer Nelson Algren. Sensuously Transmitted Drama - Love Poured Neat, will run April 2nd thru April 30th, Saturdays at 4pm and Tuesday evenings at 8pm.
