A BAROQUE CONCERT: MUSIC FROM THE CATHEDRALS OF 18TH CENTURY CUBA
A unique concert featuring Cuban Baroque masters Esteban Salas and Cayetano Pagueras, headlined by Sonnambula, New York's critically acclaimed Renaissance music ensemble, featuring authentic period instruments and an international cast of singers from Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United States. This musical gala presentation will be introduced by the distinguished Cuban musicologist Miriam Escudero, recognized worldwide as the foremost authority on the Island's Baroque period. The concert will include the world premiere of Salas's 'Mass in F Major,' recently unearthed by Prof. Escudero during her research travels to Santiago de Cuba.
