Karine Polwart & friends
A evening with Karine Polwart and friends.
Karine is a Scottish singer, songwriter, composer and essayist. Her songs combine folk influences and myth with themes as diverse as Donald Trumps corporate megalomania, Charles Darwins family life and the complexities of modern parenthood. She sings traditional songs too and writes to commission for theatre, animation and thematic collaborative projects. Karine is four times winner at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, including twice for Best Original Song.

Full bar including hot drinks and hot food for early arrivals. Post-concert drinks available downstairs at the ceilidh collective bar with artists and members of the local Party.
Doors open for buffet food and drink 6pm, concert 8-10.30pm, doors close 11.30pm.
This is a celebration and fundraiser for Lothian Greens in association with the ceilidh collective, in the run up to the Holyrood elections on Thursday 5 May 2016.

Thanks for your enquiry, yes there is full wheelchair access, with a lift from George IV Bridge and an accessible toilet on the same level as the concert, with lift access to the buffet room, too. I hope you can make it! Best wishes, Robin. |
