Brown Bag Blind Tasting: Series #2
Better Beer Society proudly presents a unique tasting event: Brown Bag Blind Tasting Series #2.
This is the second event in a series of blind tasting events all designed to challenge and educate your palate. Our aim is to get you thinking and talking about the aromas and flavors that you are experiencing, as well as get rid of any preconceptions one may have about certain beer styles.
The theme for Series #2 is "Summer Session: Backyard BBQ Beers."
We have partnered with our friends at The Butcher & the Boar to bring you 28 hand-chosen, special taps to be paired perfectly with the flavors of summer.
Our goal with this series, is to enlighten the beer community on pairing techniques, introduce your palate to new flavors, and help you recreate some of what you experience at home in your own backyard.
This exclusive event will include a hand-cured, beer inspired sausage link by Chef Jack Riebel, accompanied with side dish, and paired with a very special beer.
Throughout the course of this event, you will then receive a number of blind tasters that will be broken up into 4 separate categories. Each segment will continue to feature unique small plates, each designed to accentuate the flavors in both the food and the beers chosen for the event.
You will be encouraged to take notes, and given score cards to fill in your guess as to what each beer style is. Bonus points for actual beers named!
Once we do the big reveal at the end of the session, the person with the most points wins a very special prize package! (The last series prize was a case of beer for a month, for the entire year)
This event will be held on their absolutely stunning, and newly opened beer garden.
Space is limited and Series #1 was completely sold out, so we highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance!
