Carl LaBove : Outlaw Tales
If the mark of a great entertainer is the ability to continually reinvent, create and astonish an audience, then Carl LaBove has undoubtedly made his mark. An original founding member of "The Outlaws of Comedy", his powerful approach to performance has been filling venues for over 30 years. After decades of performing, Carl has developed a phenomenal story to share.
LaBove was born in Fort Worth Texas, grew up a military child, which required his family to move all around the world during his youth. At age nineteen he discovered stand up comedy with the man who would become his best friend, Sam Kinison. Together the two founded a Rock & Roll Comedy concept that would earn Billboard Magazines "Top Tour" honors by selling out theaters across the country for 5 straight years.
Carl has developed a one man show as only a person with a story like his could. He's brought it to the stage. "Outlaw Tales" is Carl's journey through his life. The highs(and were there some highs), the lows(you couldn't even imagine), the acceptance, the healing and the lessons of a true and astonishing life story to date.
The outlaws blazed through the country like a wildfire. Inspiring generations of comics and legions of fans. But that is not what this show is all about. It's about the funny, dark and mysterious experiences that force us down path's we never intended to venture down. When life completely blows up in your face, and everything you believe to be true is not, you are forced to journey into the deepest part of your soul to survive. It is these "Tales" that have molded Carl into the performer and man he is today. It is these "Tales" that will open the hearts and minds of generations to come.
