Journey Dream Flower
Body Weather Laboratory presents Flower of the Season 2016 Spring. Now in its 12th year, Flower of the Season produces outstanding dance within a deeply considered, minimal yet encompassing approach to space and theatricality. This season, the series introduces a new work by Simone Forti and Oguri.
Journey Dream Flower is a dance collaboration inspired by the concept of nageire - a free-form style of Ikebana, Japanese floral arrangement. In a meeting of spirits, earthly and divine, the flower responds to the vessel. It is an act of love, of romance. Without hesitation, like the action of throwing something somewhere, the arrangement is revealed not imposed.
