Ted Elliman, author of Wildflowers of New England, will give a special intimate tour of Manitoga's woodland gardens. Join Ted as he illuminates native treasures in Russel Wright's visionary landscape design. A book signing and reception will follow.

IMPORTANT TOUR INFORMATION

Participants meet at Manitoga's Visitor/Guide House next to the parking lot located at 584 Route 9D in Garrison, NY. The guide will arrive just before the tour begins.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A MODERATE HIKE. Tours last 90 minutes and are conducted rain or shine. Please wear sensible walking shoes and dress for weather. Visitors must be able to negotiate uneven ground, several bridge crossings with no handrails and a series of 40 stone steps.


About Ted Elliman

Ted Elliman has been engaged in botanical work in New England and other northeastern states for over 30 years. He is a plant ecologist for the New England Wild Flower Society in Framingham, Massachusetts. Previously, he worked as an ecologist for the National Park Service and has written numerous articles on botanical subjects for conservation organizations, scientific journals, and state and federal environmental agencies.
