LDor Vador will pay tribute to nationally recognized Jewish writers Hans and Ilse Juergensen - Holocaust refugees from Germany who have published fifteen volumes of poetry between them.
Their only child, Claudia Juergensen Noble, who now resides in the Houston area, became a poet and playwright with eight theatrical productions.
Their grandson, Andy Noble, co-directs NobleMotion Dance, which was recently titled Houstons Best Dance Company.
This project highlights three generations of artists and tells the story of a familys journey from battled Europe to our Kaplan Theatre.
The original evening of work will pay tribute to the traditions, memories, nightmares, struggles, and fables that are shared so eloquently through the Juergensens poetry. It is Andy and Claudias hope that people of all ages and cultures can relate to the subject matter that enlivens the past and present through text and movement.
