LAWOMENSFEST: Kna Dreamweaver
Kna Dreamweaver, directed by Ida Anita del Mundo. Kna Dreamweaver is an honest, sincere love story that becomes epic because of the vibrant Tboli culture and the majestic Lake Sebu in South Cotabato. This film intertwines the Tboli tradition of tnalak dreamweaving and the narrative of young princess Knas coming of age, as she finds herself in the position to bring peace to her village and to put an end to an age-old clan war. Kna is growing up amidst a century-old clan war which has separated the Tbolis into two villages on the North and South banks of Lake Sebu. When Kna becomes the villages dreamweaver, her father decides to put an end to the warring clans of Lake Sebu once and for all by arranging a marriage between Kna and Kagis, the heir to the throne of the North. Meanwhile, Kna has fallen in love with Silaw, a childhood friend whose family supplies the finest abaca fibers to the dreamweavers.
