LAWOMENSFEST: Shorts Program Five
Susie Sunshine, Directed by Chelsea OConnor.
In an alternate world where the energy crisis has been solved, society's balance rests on the gifts and sacrifice of a select group of highly trained women -'the Energy Makers.'By harnessing their emotions at corporate conglomerate Martin Energy, these three types of Energy Makers create sunshine, electricity, and fire. Susie,    the company's star sunshine maker, threatens the imposed order when she learns she can do more than supply sunshine.

Manikin, directed by Deva Anderson.
In the bleak dystopian future tiny dolls called Manikins keep citizens of The State in check by feeding them messages of conformity and obedience. Tarawho is hoping  for a better life, purchases an aftermarket Manikin which boosts her morale with messages of hope and courage,     but when The State intervenes, Tara faces the dire consequences of trying to break free from the norm.

Bullets at the Ballet, directed by Rachel Perlis.
Anna Assoluta prima ballerina and assassin is given her next mission by ballet mistress and handler, Mme Krakatov. Anna is to assassin a man right before she goes on stage at the next performance. When the hit goes wrong Anna flees  back the theater with hit men in pursuit. Upon her return, she is shocked to find her understudy already prepared to go on in her place. Could Anna have been the real target? If so can she every return to the stage?

The Delivery Girl, directed by Lauren Mandel, Julia Seales and Rachel Brittain.
In a futuristic world where corporations control everything and privacy is almost nonexistent,there is only one way   to communicate off the record; sending a message by courier through The Cycle Express. The Delivery Girl is one such courier who receives messages from the citys elite and delivers them all over town under the guise of a pizza delivery woman, but there are dangers in this line of work.


Cold War, directed by Richard Gray.
In the midst of the Cold War a Soviet soldier makes      his way across the Bering Strait to the frozen shores     of Alaska. When he is found by an armed hunter he must convince her without being able to speak English, that he is a genuine defector.

Ghost Tours, directed by Kristin Holodak.
Sarah is torn between what she needs to do and what she loves to do. Only when she opens her eyes to the world around her can she make her choice.


The Room, directed by Silvia Cremaschi.
A history about hats, interior conflicts and outbursts visionaries: in a mysterious room, which moves and transforms Anna, a young dreamer secretly gives birth to her greatest desire; a magic top hat that will transport her from everyday oppressive reality into a world where anything is possible.



Driven, directed by Alexzndra Liveris.
Julia Landauer a 21-year-old Stanford student is at the  top of her driving game. Although she faces barriers of a mostly male dominated sport that cost millions of dollars. Julia is determined to break into the cult of NASCAR one race at the time.
