Quickies Volume 13
Live Girls! Theater presents the 13th installment of Quickies, our annual short play event.
Even the ancient Greeks knew that the only constant in life is change, so for our 13th edition of Quickies, we have decided to embrace that enduring truth. This year, we've selected plays that include themes of transformation and coming of age, reflecting Live Girls! Theater's own transition into its teen years. The line-up also includes specially commissioned plays from several local writers. From a hilarious satire of a video game changing into something too "real" for the players' taste, to a tender moment of transition between a struggling mother and her far too grounded daughter, this year's Quickies offers up a roller coaster evening of entertainment. From the heartfelt to the absurd, suspenseful to sublime - no matter what you are looking for, there is a Quickie for you!
The line-up includes: Bang-Bang Choo-Choo Train by Elizabeth Heffron, directed by K. Brian Neel Todd Schuster, Hero by Keri Healey, directed by Shawn Belyea The Sunshower Bride by Maggie Lee, directed by Mimi Katano The Sequel by Kathryn Funkhouse, directed by L. Nicol Cabe Frosty by Krista Knight, directed by Kaytlin McIntyre 29 Births by Adele Somma, directed by Agastya Kohli
