milo with 32 French, Brzowski, and God.Damn.Chan
Born in Chicago to parents younger than he is now, 24 year-old milo was given the government-name of Rory Ferreira. Raised in Saco, Maine, he has since relocated to LA, where joined up with the alternative hip-hop collective Hellfyre Club and underground legend Busdriver. His delivery is a rhythmic style of spoken word, and he name drops writers and philosophers as much as he does '90s Nickelodeon shows and WWF wrestlers. milo's music is honest and open, unpretentious and accessible. Though he'll namedrop Bertrand Russell, he's not trying to make you feel dumb, just suggesting you might like the guy's writing. In any case, it's not music for the passive listener.
milo returns to SPACE on the heels of a career year; his latest album So the Flies Don't Come made year-end album lists in Rolling Stone, Spin, The Boston Globe, Ghettoblaster Magazine, and others. He'll be joined by the pixelated beats of Portland DJ and self-proclaimed nerd 32french, who will be celebrating the release of The Beautiful Sound of Chaos, his first proper full-length on Milled Pavement Records. The Atari, Commodore, and Nintendo-influnced album features a diverse mix of guests, including Leo Albatross (Serum DeFacto), Derek Jackson (Hi Tiger), Kthel???, Mikal kHill, Sulfur, and Free Steak Dinner.
Also on the bill are the globe-trotting gothic-rap stalwart Brzwoski and TRVP NITE beat-connoisseur God.Damn.Chan.
