Spring Short Course Design, Construction and Monitoring of Driven Pile Foundations April 1, 2016 at the Red Lion Hotel, Bellevue Presenter Jerry A. DiMaggio
This one-day short course presents practical guidance on the installation and monitoring of driven pile foundations. Arguably driven pile foundations continue to be the most common and most complex deep foundation system to design and construct. This course primarily focuses on the installation and construction monitoring of all types of driven pile foundations. The topics covered include: a framework for driven pile design and construction, optimizing results of subsurface investigation, understanding installation equipment, correct use and interpretation of: wave equation analysis, high strain dynamic measurements, rapid pulse load test methods and conventional static testing and finally application of field test results. The course will be presented by Mr. Jerry A. DiMaggio P.E., D.GE (Applied Research Associates, Inc. Crofton, Maryland).
Course attendees will be eligible to receive 0.7 Continuing Education Units (CEU) or 7 Professional Development Hours (PDH).
