Buffalo Ukulele Fiesta: A beginner's ukulele workshop with Stuart Fuchs (aka "Stukulele)
Stuart (aka "Stukulele") is very excited to be returning to Buffalo NY, where he lived & worked in Buffalo's music scene for 20 years. This two part ukulele workshop is designed for all levels of player and will be very EASY for beginners to jump in.
In PART ONE we'll have a very fun ukulele class playing fun songs that can be played with just two and three chord songs - okay, MAYBE four chords! These songs will be a great review of rhythm playing while we jam on a wide variety of musical styles.
In PART TWO we'll dive a little deeper with a detailed lesson on ukulele playing technique: strumming patterns, tips for improving your rhythm & tone, singing & playing at the same time, single note picking, and powerful practice tips for your music path.
You can attend one or both workshops - you'll come away with a great overview and great tips on how to practice & improve your ukulele playing all while having a blast!
Former Buffalo resident Stuart Fuchs presents ukulele workshops and concerts at Ukulele festivals across the USA, Canada and beyond. He has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on a number of occasions, is an endorsing artist with Kala Ukuleles and in 2014 was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for his work composing healing music with cancer patients at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
After the workshop Stu will play a short set of his solo ukulele music and then hanging out for an informal meet and greet. Looking forward to seeing you there!
